At Health Shield, we understand the importance of coming together as a workplace, there's nothing quite like sharing stories and smiles over a cup of coffee and a slice of cake. On the 25th of September, we had the joy of hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning, uniting to raise funds for the inspiring work Macmillan Cancer Support does for individuals and families affected by cancer.
Macmillan shares that the donations from thousands of Coffee Mornings, big and small, help raise vital funds to support the 3 million people in the UK living with cancer, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.[1] We’re thrilled to be part of such an incredible cause.
Colleagues from across the organisation contributed a delightful selection of homemade and store-bought cakes and treats. From the Victoria sponges, coffee cake and peanut butter cookies, our table was overloaded with choices that catered to every taste. Some of the highlights included:
It was truly heart warming to witness so many people pour their love and baking talent into supporting such a meaningful cause.
It was wonderful to see everyone unite, not just to enjoy the delicious treats, but also to rally behind Macmillan's incredible mission. Whether baking, donating, or enjoying the cakes each person played a crucial role in making a difference.
